Start Your Guild Outpost in Trailborn RPG
The Guild Outpost runs whether you're online or not - generating resources, building structures, and earning monthly rank through raids. Here's how it works and how to get ahead.
What the Outpost Is
The Guild Outpost is a guild-wide idle system that runs separately from combat. It passively generates four resources (Wood, Stone, Silver, and Worship) while you're offline, and lets your guild construct buildings, compete in a monthly ranking, and raid rival outposts for extra resources.
Access it through /guild and navigate to the outpost in the UI, or jump straight in with !go.
Generation stops when storage is full. Log in regularly and upgrade the Warehouse to avoid wasting idle output.
Buildings
The outpost has 13 buildings, each with a distinct role:
- -Archives → stores guild records and expands guild history tracking
- -Command → the outpost's central hub for managing scouts and outpost raids
- -Builder's Hut → reduces building upgrade time
- -Warehouse → increases resource storage capacity
- -Marketplace → trade deals that refresh every 6 hours; higher level = better deals
- -Library → unlock permanent outpost upgrades
- -Woodcutter's Lodge → generates Wood passively over time
- -Quarry → generates Stone passively over time
- -Silver Mine → generates Silver passively over time
- -Farm → increases Population, which supports other building tiers
- -Temple → unlock gods and activate temporary outpost buffs
- -Barracks → train troops to strengthen your guild's military presence
- -Wall → improves your defense against raids and lets you see incoming attack arrival times
Not all buildings start at level 1. Some begin unbuilt at level 0. If you can't train troops, perform a trade deal, or learn a Library upgrade, the relevant building just needs to be upgraded first to unlock that feature.
Building Priority
Start with your three main resource generators: the Woodcutter's Lodge, Quarry, and Silver Mine. Getting Wood, Stone, and Silver flowing early is the foundation. Then invest in the Farm, since Population is required for both building upgrades and troop training and a low cap will gate everything else.
Once the core is running, upgrade the Temple to unlock Worship generation, which is needed for gods and temporary outpost buffs. Keep the Warehouse scaling alongside everything else. The higher your storage cap, the less you lose to overflow when you're offline.
The Marketplace
The Marketplace rotates trade deals every 6 hours, offering options to exchange idle resources for materials or currency. A higher Marketplace level unlocks better deals.
Every 6 hours is worth checking. Missing resets means leaving value on the table.
Outpost Combat
Outpost combat is how you steal rival resources and climb your personal monthly ranking. Both successful attacks and successful defenses count toward your monthly rank. Passive generation alone won't keep you competitive.
Build Walls and Barracks before you start raiding. A poorly defended outpost is an easy target.
Scouting
Before committing troops to a raid, you can scout the target outpost. Scouting costs Golden Coins and gives you an independent chance to discover each of three things:
- -Stationed troops and their stats
- -Wall level and wall defense
- -Lootable resources available to steal
Each is revealed separately based on how much you spend. A 100% chance on all three is reached when your Golden Coins equal or exceed 50% of the combined value of all three targets. Spending less means partial information, so you may go in without knowing the wall strength or troop composition.
Scout fully before raiding. Going in blind risks losing troops to defenses you didn't account for.
How Battles Are Resolved
When a raid lands, the game compares two power scores:
- -Attacker score: melee attack + ranged attack + magic attack across all attacking troops
- -Defender score: melee defense + ranged defense + magic defense across all stationed troops + wall defense
Both scores are nudged by a random multiplier between 0.9 and 1.1, so no two raids play out identically. The ratio of attacker score to total score determines the outcome tier, ranging from Defender Flawless Domination to Attacker Flawless Domination. Loot taken scales with how decisive the win is:
- -Ratio below 0.5 → ~25% of lootable resources taken
- -Ratio 0.5 - 0.8 → ~50% of lootable resources taken
- -Ratio 0.8 or above → ~75% of lootable resources taken
Troop losses are randomized within the outcome tier. The game removes troops in random small batches until a target population loss is reached, meaning the same outcome tier can deplete different troop types each time. Lost population is refunded to the Farm.
Wall defense adds directly to the defender's power score. Every Wall upgrade makes your outpost meaningfully harder to loot.
Guild Points
Every outpost action (building, upgrading, trading, raiding) earns your guild XP. When the guild levels up, it generates 10 Guild Points, which fund permanent stat upgrades for all members: Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Endurance, Constitution, Perception, Speed, XP Rate, and Drop Rate.
Outpost Checklist

- -Check the Marketplace every 6 hours for fresh deals
- -Scout fully before raiding. Spend enough Golden Coins to reveal all three targets
- -Build Walls and Barracks before engaging in outpost combat
