Choose a Class in Trailborn RPG

Every adventurer starts as a Traveler, but no one survives this world without specializing. Class changes reshape how you fight, what you're good at, and how often you'll block a hit before it lands.

First Class Change: Level 15

At level 15, you choose your first class. This is your foundation - the archetype the rest of your build grows from.

Available classes:

  • -Warrior
  • -Ranger
  • -Mage

Requirements:

  • -Level 15
  • -1,000 Golden Coins
  • -A small number of specific monster kills

Class changes are made through the /profile or !profile command. Once confirmed, this choice is permanent - switching to a different first class is not currently possible.

Second Class Change: Level 50

At level 50, you can evolve further into a more specialized, higher-tier class. This is a much bigger commitment than your first change.

Base ClassAvailable Evolutions
WarriorCrusader, Siegebreaker
RangerMarksman, Witch Hunter
MageArcanist, Spellblade

Requirements:

  • -Level 50
  • -150,000 Golden Coins
  • -Larger kill counts on zone-specific monsters
-Not sure how to earn that many Golden Coins? See Earn Golden Coins Fast.

Like your first class, your second class is also accessed through /profile or !profile. Once confirmed, switching to a different second class is not currently possible.

What Changing Class Actually Does

Changing class isn't cosmetic. It resets and reshapes your character:

  • -HP, MP, Energy, and base damage are reset
  • -Stat points are reallocated, so you'll need to redistribute them
  • -You take on a new block rate tied to your class
-Need help deciding where to put those stat points? Build Your Character covers every stat and what it actually does.

Block Rate by Class

Block rate is one of the clearest differences between classes:

ClassBlock Rate
Warrior6.5%
Ranger5%
Mage3.5%
Crusader8.5%
Siegebreaker7.5%
Marksman7%
Witch Hunter6%
Spellblade5.5%
Arcanist4.5%

As a general pattern, Warriors, Crusaders and Siegebreakers sit on the defensive end with the highest block and fastest weapon speeds, trading per-hit damage for consistency and survivability. Mages, Arcanists and Spellblades flip that - lowest block, slowest weapon speeds, but the highest damage multipliers. Rangers, Marksmen, and Witch Hunters land in between on block, with slower attack speeds than Warriors offset by higher per-hit damage.

Weapon Types by Class

Each class has four weapon types to choose from. The hit rate describes how consistent the damage is per hit - Normal Hit Rate means a fixed multiplier, Lower Hit Rate means wider variance, High Hit Rate means tighter variance, and Higher Hit Rate means extremely consistent output. Speed is relative to a baseline of 1.

Numbers below are based on common rarity items and are meant to give you a feel for the stat spread of each weapon type, not exact values.

Choosing What Fits You

There's no universally "best" class, only the one that fits how you want to fight. Ask yourself what you're after:

  • -Tankiness: lean toward Warrior or Crusader
  • -Ranged consistency: lean toward Ranger or Marksman
  • -Magic power: lean toward Mage or Arcanist
