Manage Your Inventory in Trailborn RPG
Inventory management in Trailborn RPG isn't just about space. It's about efficiency, Golden Coin flow, and making sure you never lose momentum because you're full at the wrong time.
Understand How Inventory Capacity Works
Open your inventory with /inventory or !inventory. You have a fixed number of slots, plus any bonus capacity from guild or premium effects.
At the bottom of your inventory you'll see: Inventory slots: X / Y. This shows how many unique items you're currently holding.
Not All Items Use Space the Same Way
This is where most players waste space without realizing it.
Stackable items only use 1 slot per item type, no matter how many you have:
- -Potions
- -Materials (gathering, mining, hunting, woodcutting)
- -Upgrade runes
- -Quest and event items
- -Premium items
Example: 500 Health Potions = 1 slot.
Non-stackable items use 1 slot each:
- -Weapons
- -Armor
- -Amulets
Example: 5 different swords = 5 slots.
Your inventory doesn't fill from quantity - it fills from variety. If you're full, it's usually because you're holding too many individual gear pieces, not too many materials.
Sell Constantly
The fastest way to free space is the Sell All button in the shop. Open /shop or !shop, hit Sell All, and it instantly sells all non-premium items, keeps premium items safe, and converts clutter directly into Golden Coins. Deposit any important or rare items to your bank first - Sell All clears all non-premium items in one go.
Use it when:
- -You just finished farming
- -Your inventory is close to full
- -You don't want to sort items manually
Rule: if you're not using it, sell it.
Selling consistently is also one of the fastest ways to build Golden Coins. See Earn Golden Coins Fast for the full breakdown.
Use Your Bank
Your personal bank is your overflow storage - open it with /bank or !bank. It starts with limited capacity, can be increased through guild buffs, and uses the same slot logic as your inventory.
Move items there that you don't need right now:
- -Crafting materials-See Craft Better Gear for what materials to prioritize.
- -Upgrade runes-See Upgrade Items for how to put them to use.
- -Quest items
- -Rare items you're saving
Use the Guild Bank Strategically
Access the guild bank through /guild or !guild. It acts as shared storage - extra space, long-term storage, and a way to support your guild.
- -Bulk materials
- -Backup gear
- -Items other players might need
Only guild members with the Leader or Advisor role can withdraw items, Golden Coins, or Gems - everyone else can deposit but not take.
Build Around Space Efficiency
Good inventory management isn't reactive, it's planned.
What to avoid:
- -Hoarding multiple similar weapons
- -Keeping "maybe useful" gear
- -Letting inventory hit max before acting
What to do instead:
- -Keep stackable resources - they're efficient
- -Sell or trade unused gear quickly
- -Store anything not immediately needed in your bank
Guild Capacity Upgrade
Your guild can also expand your inventory capacity through guild upgrades. If the guild has reached a high enough level and has enough Guild Points to invest, members can unlock additional inventory slots for the whole guild.
Guild upgrades require both a sufficient guild level and Guild Points. Check your guild's available upgrades menu to see what's available.
Premium Capacity
Premium bonuses can increase your inventory size. More space means longer farming sessions, less interruption, and higher efficiency over time. It doesn't just give convenience - it increases your overall farming output.
Trading Locks Your Inventory
Start a trade using /trade @mention or username. Once active, your inventory is locked for the duration - you won't be able to move or manage items until the trade is completed or cancelled.
Always double-check before confirming:
- -Item counts
- -Stack sizes
- -What you're giving vs receiving
Once confirmed, it's final.
The Smart Inventory Loop
- -Farm or gather
- -Watch your slot usage
- -Store useful items in your bank
- -Use
Sell Allfor junk - -Keep only what you actively use
