Trailborn RPG Patch 43
The quest system has been rebuilt from the ground up: new type filters, multi-quest actions, improved embeds, and a treasure encounter mechanic on every monster kill. Plus over 100 new icons, hundreds of new flavor texts, and a batch of bug fixes.
This patch has been landing in pieces over the past few weeks, and today the last and biggest piece goes live: the quest system has been rebuilt from the ground up.
Quest System
The old status dropdown, which switched between available, accepted, and completed quests, has been replaced by a quest type filter. Filter by deliver, craft, hunt, kill, equip, and more to find exactly the quest you're after without scrolling past everything else. Switching between available, accepted, and completed is now handled through dedicated buttons instead.
Accept, complete, and abandon buttons now support targeting a single quest or several at once through the quest ID system. Up to 6 quests can be accepted at the same time, and progress only counts toward quests that have actually been accepted. A complete all button finishes every accepted quest in one action, with a confirmation embed standing between you and any accidental clicks.
Quest embeds themselves have been rebuilt too. Items now display their rarity, class, and level icons and tags, and monsters display their level, so tracking down a specific objective no longer means guessing.
Crafting and Daily Rewards
The crafting embed now shows rarity icons on materials, making it easier to see at a glance what's still needed. The daily rewards embed has been cleaned up into a clearer layout, making it easier to see what's coming and what to aim for.
Icons and Flavor Text
Over 100 new icons have been added across the bot's buttons to make navigation faster and more intuitive. Hundreds of new randomized flavor texts have also been added across collection professions, crafting, upgrading, and exploration, so the world feels less repetitive the longer you play.
Help and Tutorial Updates
The help and tutorial commands have also been updated with new and refreshed information, streamlining the new player experience even further on top of the tutorial rewrite from Patch 42.
Bug Fixes
- –Fixed stunned players retaining the ability to attack, run, or use potions
- –Fixed the outpost temple upgrade from level 0 to 1 not displaying its increase in worship per hour and worship capacity
- –Fixed two handed items failing to equip when only an off hand item was equipped, and the reverse case
New: Treasure Encounters
Every monster kill now carries a 5% chance to spawn a treasure check. The treasure is active for 5 minutes and open to everyone present, whether you want to compete for it or work together. Each treasure carries a random 4-digit code, and every player gets 3 attempts to crack it. Feedback on each guess shows which digits are correct and in place (O), wrong entirely (X), or correct but misplaced (?). Cracking the code grants an instant reward of Golden Coins, Gems, upgrade runes, and potions. If time runs out before anyone solves it, the closest guesses still walk away with something.
Gift Code
A gift code is live with this patch. Redeem it with /gift_code or !gift_code for 25 free Gems.
