Trailborn RPG Patch 35

A major patch bringing a full monster combat overhaul, a second potion slot, inventory improvements, new commands, and a large batch of stability and backend fixes.

Monster Combat Overhaul: 450+ New Skills

Every monster in the game, including elite monsters, now has 3 unique skills. These include multi-hits, piercing attacks, damage-over-time effects, heals, stuns, buffs, debuffs, and more. Battles should now feel far more dynamic and unpredictable. This is also the first step toward the upcoming Dungeons and Raids update, where combat depth will play a much bigger role.

Second Potion Slot

Players can now equip two potions at the same time, allowing for more flexibility and new strategies in tougher fights.

Inventory and Equipment Improvements

  • Equipment slot names and item types have been cleaned up and standardized across the game
  • All dropdowns using these types now follow the same order as your profile, from helm down to boots
  • Viewed items now show stat comparison values based on what you currently have equipped, making it much easier to judge upgrades at a glance

Inventory, Bank and Trading Fixes

Several inventory capacity check issues were causing problems with the bank, guild bank, and player trading. These have been corrected and item transfers should now behave reliably.

Improved Modal Flow

  • When depositing items into your bank or guild bank, you now stay inside the depositing interface until you press Back, making it much faster to deposit multiple items in a row
  • The same improved flow now applies to guild bank withdrawals and adding or removing items in trades
  • Navigation buttons have been added so you can browse pages while looking up item IDs

Refresh Buttons for Dropdowns

Some interfaces previously locked you into a dropdown selection if you picked the wrong option. Refresh buttons have been added so you can reset the interface and choose again.

New Commands

Two new commands and shortcuts have been added for faster navigation:

  • /guild_bank, !guild_bank, or !gb
  • /guild_outpost, !guild_outpost, or !go

Guild Level Leaderboard

A new Guild Level Leaderboard has been added so guilds can now compete against each other.

Party Skill Quantity Modal

You can now select how many times to use a party skill through a quantity modal instead of repeatedly using the dropdown.

Interaction Stability Improvements

All 200+ buttons in the game now use deferred interactions. Previously, Discord lag spikes exceeding 3 seconds could trigger "This interaction failed" errors. Interactions now remain valid for up to 15 minutes, which should drastically reduce these errors across the board.

Backend Database Overhaul

The entire player database structure has been reorganized behind the scenes. This required rewriting a large portion of the codebase to move values to their new locations. Everything has been thoroughly tested, but with a change this large it's possible something slipped through. If you encounter anything unexpected, please report it.
